The group meets Tuesdays (except school holidays) between 9.30am and 10.30am to share tips about lipreading and to meet other people interested in learning lipreading. Lip reading enables you to “listen” to a speaker by watching the speaker’s face to figure out their speech patterns, movements, gestures and expressions. It goes beyond simply reading the lips of a speaker to decipher individual words. Learning to lip read involves developing and practicing certain skills that can make the process much easier and more effective. Library group events can be subject to change without warning. Please contact the library for event confirmation. The Town is collecting your personal information to process your booking request and for its administrative functions.
